Polyurethane adhesives give water resistant and flexible gluelines.
Polyurethane exists as one- or two-component systems. The polymer is based on diisocyanate and polyols. Single component systems cure by reaction with water/moisture and/or –OH groups in the wood and give a water resistant and flexible glueline. The curing process is fast even at room temperature.
PU adhesives can be used both for interior use and for load bearing timber structures in accordance with DIN 1052 and EN 14080:2005.
